For some strange reason, every time I put my old iPod on and those Steve Tyrell songs (better known as the Father of the Bride songs) come on I feel the need to write. I want to write about the things I love, the things I believe in, and the things I'm excited about. Usually I don't whip these songs out until the first crisp fall day. But, I baked some zuchinni bread today, and the cinnamon in it smelled so dreamy and reminiscent of fall I couldn't resist. I can't remember what attempt this is to start blogging again, but once again here I am. I had actually forgotten the login and password for my account it's been so long since I was last here. When I finally reset everything, my home page popped up and I noticed what I had titled this blog. "They Will Know Us By Our Love" is a song I heard a long time ago on our local Christian radio station. It always kind of stuck with me, and it actually sort of fits Eric and I. When the song says "our" I don't necessarily mean Eric and my love for each other, by more so our love for other people. We constantly talk about how inadequate we feel as Christians, but the one area we feel strong in is loving people. So that's the background of what the title of this blog is about, and I hope that what I write and post will sort of stick with and reflect this theme of loving others.
Back to the whole blogging thing. I've never felt like blogging was really my thing. I wasn't sure that I really had anything worth blogging about. I'm horrible at taking pictures, I don't have the patience to upload them to my computer, and then trying to figure out how to format this blog seems to be a headache. I think I missed the boat in the technology area. Nonetheless, we have a baby on the way and I think that is something worth writing about! And, more than anything I feel like this is a way for me to share this experience with those of you who are so far away. I will try to post pictures and make it fun to read! Love you all!
